How to Maintain Momentum in Business

How to Maintain Momentum in Business

Why You Need to Create a Strategy That Will Remain In Motion Throughout the Ups and Downs of Your Business

Life Happens

So today, I wanted to share a couple of things that were on my mind that came to fruition throughout the day. This morning was a tough morning. There was an argument with the kids, and nothing was going quite right. Coming into work, it was really hard to get cranking and get down to business. My mind was in a thousand different places. It’s a really busy time of year so it’s already difficult to focus and get work done with so much on the mind. As we were having conversations throughout the day today, something really struck me. This was the fact that without process and without a plan it is almost impossible to maintain momentum. We create momentum by having a plan in place, by creating the inertia of process.

Reaping the Benefits of Having a Plan for Your Business

The only reason anything got done for me today is the fact that we had a plan in place. We had a process-driven activity that was ready to go. It happened because that plan was there. It is always easy to move in the direction of doing things last minute, flying by the seat of your pants. However, when you put in the time to create a process, put a plan in place for your business, set the meetings, all you have to do is show up.
